1. Introduction.

1.1. The battery extrusion and puncture integrated machine is suitable for simulating the situation of various batteries being squeezed and punctured during use, transportation, storage, or treatment of household waste. The squeezing direction of the squeezing test should follow the following rules: a battery should only be squeezed once, and the battery should be qualified as not exploding or catching fire.

1.2. For cylindrical batteries, the longitudinal axis of the extruded battery should be parallel to the two flat plates of the extrusion device;

1.3. For square and flexible packaging batteries, only squeeze the wide side of the battery;

1.4. For coin or button type batteries, use a method of squeezing the upper and lower planes of the battery parallel

Test method:

² Squeeze test: After fully charging the battery according to the specified test method, place the battery in two planes and squeeze it perpendicular to the direction of the electrode plate. Apply a squeezing force of 13KN+0.78KN between the two plates. Once the pressure reaches its maximum value, the compression test can be stopped, and the battery cannot experience external short circuits during the test process.

Acceptance criteria: The battery should not explode or catch fire.

² Needle puncture test: The needle puncture test should be conducted in an environment of 20 ℃± 5 ℃, with the battery lying flat on the fixture and using a diameter of φ 3- φ An 8mm corrosion-free steel needle is inserted into the center of the battery surface at a speed of 10mm/s-40mm/s, held for any time, and the test results are observed. If the battery does not explode or catch fire, it is considered qualified. The battery extrusion testing machine complies with standards such as GB31241-2014.
